Mineral County athletes make West Virginia All-PVC list – WV News

KEYSER, W.Va. (WV News) — After a vote of the Potomac Valley Conference coaches, the All-PVC Division I softball and baseball teams were announced on Monday.
The PVC Division I consists of Berkeley Springs, Frankfort, Hampshire, Keyser, and Moorefield. All in all, Mineral County is well represented on the list.
In softball, Keyser and Frankfort comprise seven of the 10 first-team slots, and three of the nine second-team slots. Also, Keyser has been named team champion, and both the coach and player of the year hail from Keyser.
In baseball, Keyser and Frankfort comprise six of the 10 first team slots, and three of the nine second team slots. Hampshire lays claim to the team championship and player of the year, while the coach of the year hails from Frankfort.
All-PVC Division I Softball
Keyser is the team champion, Chris Shoemaker is the Coach of the Year, and Alexa Shoemaker the Player of the Year for a clean sweep for the Lady Tornado.
First Team: From Keyser, Alexa Shoemaker (12th-INF), Charity Wolfe (11th-P/INF), Tayler Likens (9th-C), Rylee Mangold (9th-P/INF), and Aly Smith (12th-INF) were named. From Frankfort, Avery Noel (9th-P/SS), and Larae Grove (11th-OF) were named. From Berkeley Springs, Allison Gray (10th-CF) was named. From Moorefield, Emily Kuykendall (12th-3B/P), and Amber Williams (10th-1B/P) were named.
Second Team: From Keyser, Averi Everline (11th-OF) was named. From Frankfort, Adison Pritts (9th-3B/SS), and Aubrie Root (9th-C) were named. From Berkeley Springs, Emma Widmeyer (10th-SS), Alaira Harrington (9th-P/3B/OF), and Emily Schultz (11th-P/3B) were named. From Hampshire, Kaylie Hall (9th-SS) was named. From Moorefield, Sterling Kump (11th-1B), and McKenna Crites (10th-SS) were named.
All-PVC Division I Baseball
Hampshire is the team champion, and the Trojans’ Alex Hott is the Player of the Year. Frankfort’s Matt Miller is the Coach of the Year.
First Team: From Keyser, Sammy Bradfield (12th-OF), Noah Broadwater (10th-SS/P), Seth Healy (11th-2B), and Logan Rotruck (10th-C/FB) were named. From Frankfort, Peyton Clark (12th-C/P), and Andrew Lynch (12th-P/INF) were named. From Berkeley Springs, Evan Thompson (12th-SS) was named. From Hampshire, Alex Hott (12th-SS/P) and Colin Hott (12th-OF/P) were named. From Moorefield, Karson Reed (12th-OF) was named.
Second Team: From Keyser, Konner Bennett (11th-1B), and Caden Youngblood (11th-OF/C) were named. From Frankfort, Cameron Lynch (10th-P/INF) was named. From Hampshire, JJ Charlton (10th-OF/INF/P), and Conner Wolford (10th-3B/P) were named. From Moorefield, Bryce Hines (12th-INF), Coleman Mongold (12th-INF), and Gavin Wolfe (12th-OF) were named.
